Originally named, Trevena (which means “village on a mountain”), the main draw for those visiting is to see the ruins of Tintagel Castle. Owned and preserved by English Heritage, Tintagel Castle covers a vast amount of coastline. Web22 jun. 2024 · This was only a minor disappointment, as Team Hubbard had mostly been looking forward to exploring Merlin’s Cave, which is accessed from the beach underneath the castle and was not closed. I have been looking forward to visiting this cave for 30 years. When I was in England as a boy in 1987, we visited Tintagel.
