Web2 de mar. de 2012 · The big power motors are decompressed, and 12:1 is the normal compression on alot of builds now. However wrong on what keeps them running. A sniff of either gets them fired up and the 12:1 is enough to run diesel on. The turbo does nothing until alot higher rpm gets it pumping boost. WebLike static compression, a higher compression ratio means more efficient fuel use and better fuel economy. Today's the high-efficiency engines on many of today's cars owe a lot of their fuel economy to their high …

Web13 de dez. de 2013 · For a Holden six that's going to spend a lot of time at low rpms (say <5000 - 6000rpms) you'll probably need a small chamber and a fair bit of squish area. With higher rpms you'll make more power with less squish area, so at high rpms if you can get enough CR with an open chamber that's what I'd do. Web17 de jan. de 2015 · the bone stock low compression will be or feel slower than your b18b especially when you get up in the rpm. this can be fixed if you run the b18b intake cam. i would get the high comp if you plan on using any kind of aftermarket cam i dont know how much id want to run a 403 or bc0022 on 8.8:1 static
Web5 de abr. de 2013 · Low-compression motors are usually not as consistent or as sharp on throttle response as high-compression motors – two major considerations in bracket racing. High compression tends to make the cylinder more “active” by increasing the turbulence in the combustion chamber.
